Bayelsa Set to Host Ester Kids Cup 2026 at Hamilton Sports Garden

YENAGOA, NG — The search for Nigeria’s future football stars continues tomorrow, April 3rd, 2026, as the Ester Kids Cup kicks off at the Hamilton Sports Garden in Ekeki.

The one-day tournament features elite U-10 prospects from renowned Bayelsa academies, including host Yenagoa City FA, Dominion City, Kingdom Stars, Stardom Life, and Okiki Musampa. The event serves as a critical grassroots platform, mirroring the early career paths of Nigerian icons like Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Leicester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho.

Tournament Coordinator Coach Ada Gwegwe emphasized the importance of the event, noting that "early learning will help the kids grow with confidence" as they showcase the immense talent within the state.

The event starts at 8:00 AM and is made possible through the support of prominent sponsors including Senator Cleopas Moses, Hon. Timi Agala-Omubo, Monimichelle Sports, and Helky's Kitchen Fab.
