Kaduna, Nigeria – The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested several suspects linked to banditry and vehicle theft in recent operations.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the police spokesperson, Mansir Hassan, revealed that a suspect was apprehended on the Birnin Gwari-Kaduna highway with 15 pieces of unsewn military camouflage material intended for bandits operating in the Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State. The suspect admitted to supplying the materials to bandits in the Chukuba area.

In a separate incident on August 24, police officers in Makarfi LGA engaged in a shootout with armed robbers who had blocked a road. One robber was neutralized, and his weapon was recovered. The police are still searching for the remaining suspects.

Additionally, the police arrested two suspects in connection with the theft of a Toyota vehicle. The suspects, Abdul Mukhtar and his accomplice, were apprehended in the Hayin Dan Mani area of Kaduna. They confessed to using a "master key" to steal cars.

The police are conducting further investigations to identify other suspects involved in these crimes and to uncover the full extent of their activities.
