INTRODUCTION TO BANANA ISLAND ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF CULTURES.

Banana Island Festival of Cultures is an annual multicultural celebration that honors our nation’s rich heritage while showcasing the global community that reside in Banana Island. This festival which was introduced 15 years ago is dedicated to fostering unity by bringing together various countries, cultures, and Nigerian ethnic groups to promote a strong, cohesive neighborhood, harmony, and inclusiveness. The emphasis is on having fun, building community spirit, and reinforcing a positive outlook, allowing people of all ages to meet and enjoy each other’s company. 

Over the years, the festival has evolved to include a business fair that provides an avenue for Banana island visibility to businesses, exposing them to over 5000 quality residents and their guests, giving an unparalleled opportunity to foster deeper interactions and showcase their brand to a dynamic audience. 

As we mark the 64th year of our independence, the Banana Island community, a unique blend of foreign nationalities and indigenous tribes, is proud to present a multicultural festival titled ‘Tour the World’ which will hold on 5th Oct 2024 and will feature an exciting line up of activities including a carnival, national parade, food tasting, exhibitions, business fair, performances, cultural displays, and much more. This event offers a unique opportunity to explore and celebrate our diverse heritage, fostering unity, cultural integration, and a renewed sense of patriotism among all Nigerians.
